Established in 1979, the company JIANGSU CEREALS, OILS AND FOODSTUFFS IMPORT & EXPORT GROUP CORP（JCOF）. is the sub company of COFCO. Later, due to the economic reform, JCOF with other brother companies were all separated from COFCO. COFCO then are responsible for the agricultural materials on strategic level such as cereals, corns, wheat, oil, etc. The separated companies are responsible for the foodstuffs on consuming level such as canned food, beans, etc.

At the same time, COFCO registered for the English MALING brand(MALING), while THE JCOF registered for the Arabic MALING brand ( مالينج).
